After a few days, Samsung rolled out the One UI 7 beta program for Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K. and the U.S. The remaining places will experience the updated beta in the coming days.
The One UI 7 beta is based on Android 15 and is finally available for Samsung Galaxy S24 users. It might be the best news for Galaxy owners and will debut in the S25 flagship next year.
Here is the roundup of new features of One UI 7 that initially appeared in Galaxy S24 Android phones.
Currently, Galaxy owners can use an AI chat assistant to summarize text, check grammar, and automatically format context. But now, One UI 7 “integrated into AI OS, they allow users to boost their productivity where texts can be selected, without needing to switch between applications,” Samsung stated in a blog post.
This represents Samsung’s existing AI writing tools can now able to use text from anywhere and re-write it.
The One UI 7 beta introduces the call transcripts feature and is publicly accessible in 20 languages. While putting the call on recording, it will conveniently transcribe the call in the preferred language. There is no need to take notes manually while working.
Samsung added a new widget “Now Bar” which is accessible from a lock screen. It displays the relevant activities across Interpreter, Music, Recording, Stopwatch and more. The Now Bar is similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island and removes the need to unlock the phone again and again.
This new feature of One UI 7 offers intuitive camera settings for photographers. Camera buttons, controls, and modes are reorganized to give a clear preview of video and photos effortlessly. Additionally, the manual settings and new zoom control are added to enhance the user experience of capturing moments.
The company also focuses on the streamlined home screen of Galaxy smartphones. The updated features have a simple, impactful, and emotive design for a visual clutter-free user interface. One UI 7 new widget, app icons, and the lock screen make customization seamless and convenient.
