The latest rumor revealed that Google will not be releasing a Pixel Tablet 2 next year.

According to the Android Headlines report, Google canceled the Pixel Tablet 3 before announcing the second-generation tablets. However, there is a twist in the leaked information.

On the other hand, Android Authority unveiled, “Google has canceled the Pixel Tablet 2, the presumed name of Google’s second-generation Pixel Tablet. This is disappointing for Pixel fans who were waiting for Google to refresh its first-generation Pixel Tablet with a newer chipset, a better camera, and, more importantly, an official keyboard accessory.”

Surprisingly, Google is giving up on its tablet entirely because of poor profitability reasons. It is worth noting that the company focuses on the Nest division with evolving technologies.

Additionally, there is a possibility that Google’s Nest Hub and Hub Max could have new device designs and features instead of standalone tablets.

However, Google always struggled with its Pixel Tablets in the market to compete with rival Apple’s iPads. The company stated that Google’s tablets got bad reviews in 2019, and was completely done with tablets at that time.

But Google changed its mind in 2022 and announced that its Pixel hardware team was working on tablets. The company launched the device for $499 which is shipped with the speaker doc magnetically attached to a Pixel tablet. Later, the price dropped, and it is available at $399.

Unfortunately, the news revealed that Google canceled the Pixel Tablet 2 and is working on a Wi-Fi 5G variant of Pixel Tablet 2. It is also rumored that Google is prepping to launch the third-generation Pixel Tablet with a noteworthy upgrade for users.
