Apple postponed Apple Intelligence features

With a new entry in the AI field, Apple promises various Apple Intelligence features and redesigns Siri. However, a report unveiled that Apple’s revamped Siri received some delays till 2026.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said in his PowerOn newsletter, “I’m told that a larger-than-usual number of features scheduled for iOS 19 (beyond the new Siri) are already postponed until spring 2026 (when iOS 19.4 debuts).”

Additionally, Bloomberg reported that many distinct features are expected to arrive next year with the release of the iOS 19 beta version. Apple is allegedly lagging behind its rivals Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Open AI. Meanwhile, the company executive mentioned that Apple is slowly approaching the features to prevent caution and enhance security measurements.

SVP of Software Engineering at Apple, Craig Federighi said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

“You could put something out there and have it be sort of a mess. Apple’s point of view is more like, ‘Let’s try to get each piece right and release it when it’s ready’.”

Furthermore, it is supposed Apple plans to release unspecified features, including third-party support for the public, in the upcoming WWDC event in June 2025 with the new iOS 19. Alongside, the latest iPhone 17 Air lineup will also join the release event ahead of LLM Siri.

On the other hand, Google is likely to introduce the Android 16 software updates in the first half of 2025. However, Google has a chance to surprise everyone with its new innovative technology before Apple does.
