SearchGPT is now available via a shortcut in Apple

At the June WWDC conference, Apple announced the ChatGPT integration in the Apple Intelligence system to empower its AI features. Reported by 9to5Mac, OpenAI adds the latest version to Apple iPhone and iPad.

Moreover, you can now connect using the shortcut option of “Open SearchGPT” on iPhones and iPads. Users who are able to access SearchGPT can create shortcuts that redirect them to Web Search Explorer.

Therefore, OpenAI developed the SearchGPT in late October. It claims the newest search system evokes upgraded features and provides relevant results like Google and Bing. Open AI explains the SearchGPT while introducing it through a blog post.

“ChatGPT can now search the web in a much better way than before. You can get fast, timely answers with links to relevant web sources, which you would have previously needed to go to a search engine for. This blends the benefits of a natural language interface with the value of up-to-date sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more.”

“ChatGPT will choose to search the web based on what you ask, or you can manually choose to search by clicking the web search icon.”

Despite this, OpenAI collaborated with authorized news and data providers to enhance users’ experience by providing real-time information.

With the powerful SearchGPT, Apple is adding ChatGPT to its Siri. The feature will be released in December. Expectedly, the shortcut of SearchGPT is accessible only to iOS 18.2 users. However, the current version of SearchGPT can be limited to premium and ChatGPT Plus members.
